FAQs
What is your latest book?
Grumblesome is my new picture book! (Publication Date, September 15th, 2026.) This 32-page rhyming picture book is for children aged 3 to 7 and their families. It’s colorfully illustrated by super-talented Brandon Dorman! Published by Gifted Unlimited, this exciting read-aloud book will enliven any day—and it’s a heart-warming bedtime story, too! (For news, I invite you to subscribe to my newsletter.)
What books have you written for kids?
What topics do you address in your books for adults?
I cover aspects of learning and child development including gifted education; creativity; children’s well-being; motivation; strategies for overcoming procrastination; and how to find an optimal educational match and create supportive learning environments. Book titles include Beyond Intelligence: Secrets for Raising Happily Productive Kids; as well as Not Now, Maybe Later: Helping Children Overcome Procrastination; and ABCs of Raising Smarter Kids; and Being Smart about Gifted Learning (3rd Edition). These books are resources for parents, educators, caregivers, grandparents, health professionals, and anyone else interested in supporting the healthy development of children and teens.
Are there targeted resources for each of your books?
Yes. Many of my books include resources such as practical tips, helpful references, discussion starters, and thought-provoking quotes. These resources complement the book’s content and provide further support for readers. My website also contains plentiful blogs and articles on topics I address within my books. I also provide convenient tabs on each of my dedicated book pages, where people can “click” for quick and easy access to material such as book club ideas, and FAQs for next-levelling. Grumblesome, my new children’s picture book (illustrated by Brandon Dorman), contains backmatter wherein I provide notes to parents and to kids, discussion questions, and recommended reading for children, as well as for families to read together.
How can I find out about the kinds of reviews you’ve received for your books?
On each book page, scroll down and you’ll see a tab that says Book Reviews. I invite you to read these to learn more. You can also get additional information, such as Table of Contents, some Excerpts, a peak at the Back Cover, and more.
How do I arrange for you to present to my group?
